YEAR 6 AT BOWLES - NOVEMBER 2023

On Monday 12th, the children of years 3 & 4 went on their trip to the Weald & Downland Living Museum. After a snowy day, everyone was wrapped up warm and we had a great day in spite of the cold.
We learned about how people throughout the centuries lived, how they cooked and how they kept warm!
The children also took part in an Anglo Saxon workshop, where they got to split some logs, weave some weft and try on some armour and Anglo Saxon helmets.
The children all took part readily, behaved beautifully and had a great day all round!

Year 2 had a fantastic school trip in November to the Sealife centre in Brighton! The trip was to support learning in their topic: Ocean Adventures. They were able to explore the Sealife centre and see some amazing creatures: sharks, turtles, octopus, stingrays, seahorses and jellyfish. They also saw the turtles being fed and learnt so much during their visit. Some of the facts they learnt were: male seahorses are the ones that have the babies, starfish have eyes on the end of each of their tentacles, octopuses have three hearts and there used to be a dolphin living in the Sealife centre! After lunch, they had a play on a very windy Brighton beach and found lots of beautiful shells!
